OBJECTIVE: TO ENSURE SAFE TRANSPORTATION OF WORKERS

DOS

  1. Stay within the speed limit at all times and obey the traffic laws.
  2. Drive according to road conditions.
  3. An approved fire extinguisher must be fitted.
  4. Driver and passengers to wear seat belts.
  5. Ensure tools and equipment are secured.
  6. Daily check list to be completed before the trip starts.
  7. Load and unload passengers only when vehicles are off the road and stationary.
  8. Turn headlights on when traveling on gravel roads.
  9. Immediately report any dangerous behavior or incident to your supervisor.
  10. Driver must have appropriate license and PDP.

DON’TS

  1. No naked flames during refueling.
  2. Passengers, equipment and hazardous chemicals or fuels not transported in the same carry area.
  3. Passengers may not smoke during transportation.
  4. Avoid over-loading.
  5. The driver may not be under the influence of alcohol or a narcotic, as this will affect their ability and endanger the lives of the passengers.
  6. Never attempt a task for which you are not trained.
  1. Never enter a situation that you feel is unsafe – always consult the supervisor first.
  2. Passengers may not board or leave the vehicle until it has stopped.
  3. Never transport any persons who are not an employee.
  4. You are not allowed to use a cell phone whilst driving.
